FRANK A. DEL RIO STEPS DOWN AS PRESIDENT OF OCEANIA CRUISES

In a letter to travel agents, Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer for NCLH, has announced that after many years of dedicated and impactful leadership, Frank A. Del Rio is stepping down as President of Oceania Cruises.

Frank Del Rio started his career in the cruise industry in 2003 as one of the first employees at Oceania Cruises. During his time at Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and ultimately at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., Del Rio rose to the rank of Senior Vice President and led all aspects of Port and Destination Services along with Onboard Revenue. After a short hiatus, Del Rio re-joined the company in early 2022 as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

In his letter Montague said: “As with any great brand, evolution and growth are essential, and Oceania Cruises is no exception. At the same time, continuity is equally critical to long-term success, and consistency remains a foundational pillar of Oceania Cruises. One of the greatest drivers of this continuity is our people. Many of our team members have been with us for decades, with deep roots tracing back to Oceania Cruises’ early days. Having worked on the business plan that launched this company in 2002, I can personally attest to how special this brand is and how deeply it has been a part of my life for over 20 years.”

Montague continued to say that Oceania Cruises is more than just a brand – it’s a family. “That family includes not only our shoreside and shipboard team members, it includes you, our valued travel partners. Your expertise, passion, and dedication to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests has been and will continue to be critical to our success.”

As new Chief Luxury Officer for NCLH Montague said to be “truly excited to be working alongside all of you as we embark on this next chapter in Oceania Cruises’ storied history. I’ve never been more passionate about the future of our brand, more confident in our trajectory for success, or more inspired by what we will achieve together.”

Montague finished by saying to be incredibly proud of the accomplishments of Oceania Cruises and its sister brands, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line. “I look forward to building on this momentum and reaching even greater heights as we shape an extraordinary future together.”
