Urban Lifestyle Hotel Brand CityHub Opens Hotel In Reykjavik, Iceland

Following the success of its hotels in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Rotterdam, CityHub has opened its fourth location in Reykjavik, further expanding its innovative approach to modern hospitality. CityHub reimagines the traditional hotel room by offering stylish, private pods called Hubs, allowing travelers to personalize their stay and enjoy unforgettable escapes in well-known destinations.

CityHub is renowned for transforming the conventional hotel experience. The Reykjavik property features 89 modern, pod-style Hubs, along with four accessible rooms. These prefabricated units are designed for ultimate comfort and privacy, equipped with smart technology to let guests fully tailor their stay.

The new hotel offers a range of highlights to enhance guests’ experiences:

  • Rooftop Hot Tub: Inspired by Iceland’s famous hot springs, the rooftop hot tub provides a perfect spot for guests to unwind after a day of exploring. With breathtaking views of the city, visitors may even get lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
  • Seamless Digital Experience: CityHub ensures convenience with 24/7 self-check-in via kiosks, and RFID wristbands that provide smooth access to both the Hubs and the self-service bar. The bar offers a selection of wines, spirits, soft drinks, and local craft beers on tap.
  • Icelandic-Inspired Design: Designed in collaboration with local developers and interior designers at HAF Studio, the hotel’s interior reflects the vibrancy of Iceland’s nature and culture, creating a space that feels distinctly connected to its surroundings.
  • 24/7 Access to CityHosts: Guests can benefit from the expertise of CityHosts, who are selected for their extensive local knowledge. These friendly experts are available around the clock to offer insider tips and hacks, ensuring that guests experience Reykjavik like true locals.

CityHub is also committed to making Reykjavik an accessible destination, offering rates starting at €80 per night. This affordable yet premium option makes it a perfect choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking high-quality accommodations in the heart of the city.

The hotel seamlessly combines affordability with high-end amenities, including spa-like bathrooms and a cozy Hangout area. The Hangout provides ample space for working or organizing sightseeing plans, creating a unique and comfortable environment for guests to enjoy their stay.

In line with CityHub’s sustainability efforts, the Reykjavik location, like its counterparts in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Copenhagen, repurposes an existing building, significantly reducing its carbon footprint.
