Culinary delights at sea: Explora Journeys is pleased to welcome Chef Alban Gjoka to the renowned Académie Culinaire de France.
Alban Gjoka, VP Food and Beverage at Explora Journeys, was presented with the prestigious award on February 2nd at the French Consulate in New York by Sebastien Baud, Deputy Chairman of the Académie Culinaire de France.
“Alban’s tireless dedication and passionate contribution to fine cuisine have earned him a well-deserved place among the members of the Académie Culinaire de France,” said Sebastien Baud, President Delegue of the Académie Culinaire de France.
With an exceptional career in fine dining for more than two decades, he has demonstrated outstanding skills, creativity and a tremendous commitment to improving the dining experience. He continues to redefine exclusive gastronomy and sets standards and valuable impulses in the industry,” adds Baud.
Alban Gjoka started his career at Explora Journeys as Senior Lead Culinary Operation at the beginning of 2022. Previously, he worked for Apollo Group for 15 years, where he most recently served as Senior Executive Chef and Culinary Manager for a luxury cruise line, overseeing global food and beverage operations. Prior to that Gjoka worked for five years at another leading luxury cruise company in a number of Food & Beverage roles. Most recently, as Culinary Director, he was responsible, among other things, for managing the F&B strategy.
