Azamara is one step closer to having it’s own independent programs that will support guests’ overall experience.
Early last year, Royal Caribbean Group sold Azamara to Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm. At the time frequent cruisers were informerd they would continue having reciprocity and earn cumulative loyalty points through Azamara Circle and Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club until February 1, 2023
Today, Azamara has informed the cruise line is close to setting up its own loyalty program. This means guests will no longer earn cumulative points and have reciprocity with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean International after February 1, 2023.
Here’s what you need to know
- Loyalty status will be retained in the new Azamara system for past guests who have sailed on Celebrity and Azamara
- Guests who sail on Azamara or Celebrity will continue to earn cumulative loyalty points until February 1, 2023. This also implies that Azamara will retain the loyalty points earned on any Celebrity sailing that concludes on or before February 1, 2023
- After February 1, 2023, Azamara Circle members will only earn loyalty points for Azamara sailings and will not have reciprocal benefits with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean International
