Celebrity Cruises, the cruise line who introduced the world to Modern Luxury cruising, has revealed her plans for the 2020-21 cruise season. Together with the launch of Celebrity Apex and The Celebrity Revolution the world will see a season of firsts in Europe, more island time in the Caribbean and a record number of destinations in North America.
EUROPE
Celebrity Cruises’ 2020 Europe season will be the brand’s most “revolutionary” yet and mark the inaugural season of Celebrity Apex. In total six award-winning ships, two of which will have been reimagined as part of THE CELEBRITY REVOLUTION, will sail European waters visiting more than 90 ports of call across 27 different countries. New destination experiences will include a first-ever mini season of sailings from Lisbon (Portugal), as well as country-immersive sailings in either Greece or Italy. This season will also introduce new ports for Celebrity – including Trieste (Italy) and Isle of Portland, Dorset (UK) – an see the return of old time favourites such as Oslo (Norway), Agadir (Morocco) and Kusadasi (Turkey).
Celebrity Apex creates the peak European experience
The newest ship in the Edge Series, Celebrity Apex, will make her debut in April 2020 from Southampton (UK), where she will offer a mini season of five sailings to European destinations, including the Norwegian Fjords and the northern coasts of Spain and Portugal. Aboard Celebrity Apex, travelers can experience a new 10-night Capital Cities Cruise with visits to iconic cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo and Paris.
After Celebrity Apex’s Northern Europe mini season, she’ll spend the rest of her inaugural summer sailing seven- to 12-night itineraries. During her peak season she will venture through the sparkling western Mediterranean from Barcelona and Rome, offering a range of itineraries that visit a variety of ports, including Naples and Florence (Italy), Monte Carlo (Monaco), Cannes and Nice (France) and Palma De Mallorca, Valencia, and Ibiza (Spain). The ship will also make special visits to Lisbon and Valletta.
Celebrity Edge celebrates first full European season
Celebrity Edge will join her sister ship, Celebrity Apex, in the Mediterranean and offer a full season of sailings in the eastern region and Adriatic. On 10- and 11-night itineraries, Celebrity Edge will take travelers to Trieste (Italy) where they will overnight and spend two days, providing the opportunity to explore Trieste and Venice all in one in-depth stop. Celebrity Edge will also transport travelers to some of the most breathtaking places in the world, including the Amalfi Coast, Malta, and the picturesque, sun-soaked islands of Greece.
Celerity Silhouette sails best of Europe
After completing THE CELEBRITY REVOLUTION, Celebrity Silhouette will join her sisters Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge and offer even more ways to explore Europe. Aboard seven- to 14-night sailings out of Southampton, travelers can discover Europe’s most renowned cities with incredible overnight stays in Dublin (Ireland) and Reykjavik (Iceland).
Celebrity Constellation to offer complete country experiences
Aboard the “revolutionized” Celebrity Constellation, travelers will have the opportunity to try new country-immersive sailings. These nine- or 10-night itineraries feature stops almost exclusively in one country – Italy or Greece – allowing in-depth explorations of each country from top to bottom. Travelers will experience bucket-list Italian destinations, including Venice, Sicily, Naples, Portofino, Florence and Rome. In Greece, they will discover the myths, legends and natural beauty of the Greek Isles, with visits to Katakolon, Mykonos, Crete, Santorini, Corfu and Athens.
In addition, Celebrity Constellation will offer sailings in the Adriatic Sea with stops in Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro), Koper (Slovenia) and Split (Croatia).
Celebrity Reflection will return to Northern Europe
Celebrity Reflection will offer three Iceland and Ireland itineraries with round-trip sailings from Dublin. Her new 10-night Ireland, England and Scotland cruise will include a first-time visit to Portland, Dorset (UK). Celebrity Reflection will also make round-trip sailings from Amsterdam with 12-night itineraries to Scandinavia, Russia and the British Isles. Out of Rome, Celebrity Reflection will visit Israel and Kusadasi, the ancient Turkish city which was one considered a political and intellectual epicenter during the Roman Empire and is home to the Temple of Artemis, one of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Celebrity Infinity returns with first-time mini sailings
Celebrity Infinity will return to the Mediterranean with an exciting mini season of sailings from Lisbon (Portugal). These first-time sailings visit spectacular ports on the Iberian Peninsula on the way to Barcelona, including Valencia, Malaga, and La Coruna (Spain), and Porto in Portugal. Morocco has also been added to Celebrity Infinity’s transatlantic crossing itinerary, a port Celebrity Cruises hasn’t visited since 2016.
THE CARIBBEAN
Travelers looking to explore the Caribbean in modern luxury style will find an array of new options, as THE CELEBRITY REVOLUTION accelerates to full-speed and Celebrity Cruises’ newest ships, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge, join Celebrity Reflection and three newly modernized ships – Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Summit and Celebrity Equinox – visiting 27 sun-soaked destinations in 18 countries. Celebrity will offer longer stays in port across the fleet, with 213 stops allowing guests to explore for more than 10 hours and Eastern Caribbean itineraries to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Kitts during the entire winter season.
Celebrity Apex makes the Caribbean her winter home
Fresh off her inaugural European season, Celebrity Apex will spend her first winter in the Caribbean. Apex will journey through the islands on seven-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries that depart every Saturday from Celebrity’s new state-of-the-art Terminal 25 (T25) at Port Everglades. Eastern Caribbean sailings will visit some of the most sought-after destinations in the region, including San Juan (Puerto Rico), Tortola (British Virgin Islands) and Philipsburg (Sint Maarten), while Western Caribbean sailings will transport guests to the breathtaking ports of Key West (Florida), Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico) and George Town in the Cayman Islands to soak up the sun and indulge.
Celebrity Edge sails alongside her stunning new sister
The game-changing Celebrity Edge will make her much-anticipated return to the Caribbean for the winter season, following in her sister’s footsteps and sailing seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, departing Fort Lauderdale on Sundays.
Guests who can’t decide which side of the Caribbean to sail will be able to book both itineraries back-to-back for one unforgettable 14-night Caribbean escape.
Celebrity Equinox is here to stay
Celebrity Equinox will continue year-round Caribbean sailings from Miami, delighting guests with her bow-to-stern modernization and two new summer sailings. The first is an eight-night, in-depth itinerary that visits five sunny islands, including: San Juan (Puerto Rico), Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas), Philipsburg (St. Maarten) and Tortola (British Virgin Islands). Celebrity Summit traverses the East Coast with new ports and longer stays
Modernized and eager to travel, Celebrity Summit will visit 19 destinations and 7 countries and bring travelers to Greenland along with a Statue of Liberty experience. She’ll stay in port for more than 10 hours at a record 56 stops and in 39 of those ports for more than 12 hours.
New 10-night cruises will start the summer, bringing travelers south to historic Charleston, S.C. and to the British charm of Bermuda. Another seven-night itinerary to Bermuda will include a new stop in Newport, R.I., and an up-close experience with Lady Liberty herself as the ship circles Liberty Island and sails out on her way to the pink sands of Bermuda. As one of the most popular tourist sites in the United States, the Statue of Liberty is a definite must-see – and from the top decks of Celebrity Summit, the views will be exceptional.
