MSC Seaview, the 15th ship of MSC Cruises, is currently in the final construction phase at the shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. On 4 June the ship will be fully finished, on 9 June MSC Seaview will be inaugurated and on 10 June the first guests will depart on the ship’s first cruise.
It’s all hands on deck in Monfalcone (Italy) where a team of around 4,000 people are working day and night to prepare MSC Seaview for her inaugural season.
Unfortunately, for MSC Seaview to treat its guests to an unforgettable – MSC Cruises-worthy – cruise experience, the shipyard will need a few extra days to add the finishing touches to the ship.
As a result, MSC Cruises will not be able to receive the new ship until June 4 and the festive christening ceremony will now take place on June 9 in Genoa, Italy – instead of June 2 in Civitavecchia / Rome.
The short cruise, which was scheduled from June 7 to June 10, will be canceled and MSC Cruises will welcome the first guests aboard MSC Seaview on June 10 for a first full trip departing from Genoa, as planned.
