Celebrity Edge will bring some new and revolutionary design features to modern luxury cruising. The Edge Staterooms with Infinite Veranda will erase the boundaries between the traditional ship stateroom and its veranda, creating a closer connection to the ocean while the split-level Edge Villas will offer two stories of windows – that look out over a private terrace with its own private plunge pool – seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.

Eden, a transformational three-decks high space at the aft of the ship, promises to be chillful, playful and sinful. In the morning Eden will be a chillful escape where yoga, a good book or coffee and a croissant can be enjoyed. In the afternoon Eden becomes more playful with hands-on enrichment seminars and tastings to strengthen guests’ culinary talents, cocktail-making skills and wine knowledge and performances from sitar players to aerialists. At night Eden promises a sinful fusion of performance art, culinary exploration and nightlife.

The main new design feature for Celebrity Edge will undoubtedly be the Magic Carpet. Scaling the 16-deck ship through the day and evening, Magic Carpet will position at four of the ship’s decks transforming into a new and exciting experience at each one. At its lowest position on Deck 2 for example, Magic Carpet will be a key component to the Destination Gateway, a luxury embarkation station where guests will be whisked away aboard sleek Edge Launches.

Homeporting in Fort Lauderdale, FL., Celebrity Edge will be making her first sailing on November 21, 2018. During her inaugural season she will sail alternating seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. The eastern Caribbean itineraries will include stops in San Juan, Tortola and Philipsburg, the western Caribbean itineraries will call on Key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel and George Town.

During the 2019 summer season Celebrity Edge will transport guests to the stunning vistas of the Mediterranean with a range of seven- to 11-night sailings from iconic cities like Barcelona and Rome. The itineraries will feature two new ports of call: Nauplion – a charming coastal town with a Greek island-feel – and Santa Margherita – a picturesque seaside town near Portofino, Italy.
