Two months ago, at the float out of MSC Meraviglia, MSC Cruises revealed the name of its second Meraviglia-class cruise ship to be MSC Bellissima.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises commented: “MSC Bellissima is a name that embodies the beauty and the magnificence of this entire next generation of MSC Cruises ultramodern mega-ships, so rich with new features and amenities for guests of all ages and interests.”
On Monday MSC Cruises marked an important milestone in the building of MSC Bellissima with the first steel cutting of the 2nd Meraviglia Class ship at STX France’s shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France.
MSC Meraviglia’s younger sibling is the fourth ship in a new generation of cruise ships that MSC Cruises is introducing. Over the next 10 years 11 new ships will enter service, starting with MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaside next year.
MSC Bellissima is scheduled to enter service in 2019.
