If there is one thing you cannot do onboard Norwegian Epic, or any other cruise ship, it must be go hungry. There is a restaurant for every taste and craving whether it be a quick bite at the buffet, French cuisine or a nice steak.
La Cucina is the Italian restaurant onboard Norwegian Epic. It is tucked away in the front of the ship under the Garden Café. To access the restaurant you need to walk through the Garden Café on deck 15 and take the stairs, at the front of the buffet restaurant, to deck 14.
Part from the nice Italian food the main attraction of La Cucina is the view.
La Cucina is one of the specialty restaurants charging an extra fee. While the menu states a $19,95 cover charge, in combination with the dining package we had for this cruise a $14,95 fee was mentioned on our online booking.
Feeling in the mood for some good Italian food we ordered three starters to share. Since this was the only night we saw lobster on the menu, the choice for our main course was an easy one. After all what is a cruise without lobster night. Since we are not big fans of cheesecake, we decided to skip that and only try the four remaining desserts.
Initially we did not plan to eat at La Cucina but we are glad we did. We enjoyed a quiet dinner in a cozy restaurant, serving one of the best lobster pasta we’ve had in a long time.
