Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed the name of its highly anticipated newest vessel, Seven Seas Grandeur. The sixth member of the Regent fleet is the pinnacle of 30 years of luxury travel experience and is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Latest evolution in luxury cruising
“Seven Seas Grandeur is the latest evolution in luxury cruising. Her refined style, unparalleled elegance and breathtaking beauty will exceed all expectations of our guests,” said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “We are extremely proud to welcome a sixth member to the world’s most luxurious fleet at the end of 2023. It is a testament to the growing demand for luxury cruises that drives the Regent brand thanks to the perfect size of our ships offering unparalleled space at sea.”
Seven Seas Grandeur can accommodate just 750 guests and has a gross register tonnage of 55,254, providing the vessel with one of the highest space and staff-to-guest ratios in the industry. She is a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer, the most luxurious ship ever built and Seven Seas Splendor, the ship that perfects luxury.
Compass Rose – a unique, renewed culinary experience
Designed by multi-award winning Studio DADO, Seven Seas Grandeur’s elevating luxury travel begins with the cruise line’s signature specialty restaurant Compass Rose, where the menu allows guests to uniquely curate their own culinary experience on each visit. “While the restaurants onboard all Regent ships are exquisite, with Seven Seas Grandeur’s Compass Rose we wanted to create a space that is truly a sight to behold,” said Yohandel Ruiz, founder of Studio DADO.
“This new Compass Rose design will arouse the curiosity and wonder of diners before they even set foot in the restaurant, only to delight them with a sumptuous meal in a spectacular and beautiful setting. It’s a dining experience that they will praise again and again to their friends and family.”
Unparalleled world-class designs Compass Rose’s remarkable new design begins outside the restaurant, with a delicate cascading waterfall sculpture that radiates tranquility and is made with laser-cut metal and hand-blown glass. Once inside, guests are greeted by a sky of interwoven crystal and illuminated trees with timbered edges that arch, giving the impression of dining in a beautiful and enchanted forest.
As the sun sets and dinner is served, diners will be amazed by the floor-to-ceiling lighting consisting of thousands of individually placed crystal-faceted leaves inlaid on the kaleidoscope of pillars and branches that envelop the restaurant. Star-strewn ocean views are also provided by hundreds of twinkling lights surrounding the windows.
A custom designed mural by Confluent Studios adds to the atmospheric dining experience. Crafted with gold leaf and Verre Eglomisé, the mural will depict the flora and fauna at the edge of the forest, making the restaurant seem endless.
Ruiz continues, “Our goal was to create a space that is magical, transformative and that, like Compass Rose’s menu, has the potential to surprise diners with something new every time they dine.”
Compass Rose offers more choice than cruise travelers have experienced to date, offering a tempting mix of new and familiar dishes on every visit. Guests can design their own main course with favorite side dishes, sauces, pastas and prominent dishes such as Black Angus filet mignon, New Zealand lamb chops, Maine lobster tail and scallops. The restaurant also has daily changing specials, as well as an extensive vegan and vegetarian menu.
Further details about the suites, restaurants, amenities and experiences aboard Seven Seas Grandeur as well as the inaugural season will be revealed soon.
