MSC Cruises is kicking MSC Virtuosa’s maiden season off with a special range of British Isles sailings. The first 4 mini-cruises will be special maiden voyages bursting with exciting surprises and treats.
To celebrate the launch of MSC Virtuosa, guests joining any of the first four British Isles mini-sailings – departing on 20th, 24th, 28th May and 1st June – will be able to celebrate in style and start their holiday with a delicious welcome cocktail on the promenade. Once settled in guests can expect a special and enriched menu for the Gala night to continue the VIP treatment, bursting with delectable flavours from around the world to fulfil that sense of wanderlust.
The fun doesn’t stop there as these first four sailings will each night play host to one of MSC Cruises‘ new theatre productions, providing some much-needed West End style magic. Guests can travel the world through these shows visiting Paris, New York and Italy through captivating storytelling and grand productions. With a different show every night, guests can expect to be entertained and spoiled for choice on these action-packed first sailings.

To top it off, guests can visit the Carousel Lounge to experience the beauty of music, as well as enjoy some comedic charm with two new special performances that include Soul Sisters, a mesmerising singing trio that will take guests back to the days of Motown and a nightly stand up special from hilarious comedian, Rikki Jay. So from action and adventure to retail and relaxation with a side of laughter, guests on these mini-cruises will be anything but bored with a world of special treats in store to celebrate MSC Virtuosa’s maiden voyages.

Here’s how guests will be entertained on board MSC Virtuosa
1. SHOWTIME
No more waiting in the wings, as four new, original, full-scale theatre productions will be performed in MSC Virtuosa’s theatre – a real treat for those who have missed the buzz of a live show playing out in front of their eyes. As the curtains open, guests can travel around the world from the skies of Paris in ‘Le Ciel de Paris’ to ‘The Big Apple’ musical to lively Italian music in ‘Capriccio’. With multiple sittings per night, guests have plenty of opportunities to catch the shows of their choice.
2. ROUND-THE-CLOCK ACTIVITIES
Guests can take part in as many as 210 activities each week – from sociable poolside games, to getting competitive in the Sportplex, talent shows, dance nights, silent discos and themed nights, including White Party, Flower Glory Party and Space Party. At the Red Gem Casino, there are games for every player from rookies to high rollers. With 164 slot machines, 12 tables for the classics – Roulette, Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Texas Poker – and the latest gaming technology, guests can go all in for a thrilling casino session.
3. BACK TO THE FUTURE
On board MSC Virtuosa, the MSC Starship Club – a futuristic, immersive bar and entertainment experience – will lift off. The MSC Starship Club transports guests into the future with 3D holographic projections and an interactive, infinity touchtable, which takes guests on a futuristic experience travelling in the solar system and beyond.
The star of the show is Rob, the robotic bartender. Rob can shake up 16 signature cocktails as well as infinite personalised cocktail options, each served in custom-designed futuristic glass that guests can keep as a memento of their MSC Starship Club experience. Guests can choose from a number of activities that are out of this world, including the Space Party in the Promenade at the heart of the ship with actors in original costumes; an interactive Space Trivia quiz, hosted by Rob in collaboration with CBI; and Space Ship make&create at the Space Club, an original session where guests can create their own model to be judged and awarded directly by Rob.
4. MAKING A SPLASH
Guests can take their pick from five pools, indoor and outdoor, including the 1,700m2 Atmosphere Pool – one of the most spacious at sea. For those who seek an adrenalin rush, MSC Virtuosa offers one of the biggest waterparks at sea, with three twisting slides and a ‘Himalayan Bridge’ adventure rope course 80 metres above the sea. Guests can meet and compete, with a range of poolside games for all ages to make a splash on board MSC Virtuosa. For the young (and young at heart), the Aquaplay spray area sits underneath the slides, complete with massive tipping bucket, water guns and multiple interactive water elements.
5. RELAX & REJUVENATE
For those looking for a moment of pure peacefulness and pampering, MSC Virtuosa presents the MSC Aurea Spa. Tailored face treatments, holistic skincare products made with organic ingredients, massages, aromatherapy, steam rooms and saunas – with all this and more to choose from, MSC Aurea’s spa offering will leave guests floating in a sea of tranquillity. 6. SING AND DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY
MSC Virtuosa comes alive at night. Guests can release their inner pop diva at a karaoke session or try their hand at a variety of dances from salsa to merengue to ballroom. At the Attic Club, DJs get the party started, and for black-tie glamour, guests can get dressed up to the nines for one of MSC Cruises’ award-winning parties or gala evenings. When guests are finally ready for a nightcap, the warm, elegant L’Atelier Bar & Art offers a carefully selected wine list and creative signature cocktails accompanied by a pop-up art gallery and live jazz music.

Guests can spoil themselves on board MSC Virtuosa.
