A few weeks after the launch of Costa Smeralda, Italian cruise line Costa Cruises has announced the first voyage of its sister ship Costa Toscana.
Costa Toscana‘s inaugural cruise will depart from Hamburg on June 28, 2021. During the 14-day voyage Costa Toscana will offer guests two-day stops in three of the most beautiful port cities in Europe: Lisbon, Barcelona and Marseille.
During her inaugural summer season (until the first week of November) Costa Toscana will offer weeklong cruises discovering the culture, art and beaches of the Western Mediterranean.
The itinerary will include visits to Savona, Naples, Cagliari, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseille. From mid-November 2021 until Easter 2022 the route will be modified to include visits to two of the most popular Italian art cities. Ports will include: Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Palermo and Civitavecchia/Rome. For New Years 2022 a special 9-day itinerary will include a stopover in Valencia, Spain.
Costa Toscana – scheduled to make her debut early summer 2021 – and Costa Smeralda both represent a unique project in the cruise industry: combining responsible innovation and product innovation. The ships are powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the least polluting fossil energy in the world, and offer an unprecedented experience, while retaining Italian hospitality as a fundamental and distinctive element.
Costa Smeralda is named after one of the most beautiful destinations in Sardinia, the Emerald Coast, and pays tribute to Italy by showcasing what makes the country so loved and appreciated around the world. For a closer look on board Costa Smeralda read “A taste of Italy on board Costa Smeralda“.
