Currently in the midst of her first Aussie season Ovation of the Seas is redefining the idea of cruising down under by offering guests a host of incredible never-before-seen features and technologies onboard a cruise ship.
During her first Australian season Ovation of the Seas is homeported in Sydney from where she offers a wide variety of cruises to destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania and the South Pacific Islands.
To commemorate Ovation’s inaugural Australian and New Zealand season, Royal Caribbean has released a collection of stunning pictures of Ovation of the Seas arriving into Sydney.
Ovation of the Seas is the the fifth ship in the Royal Caribbean Australian fleet this winter, joining four other Royal Caribbean ships – Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas in Sydney and Legend of the Seas in Brisbane – offering an extensive range of the newest and exciting features found on modern cruise ships.
These include Ripcord by iFLY, where the thrill and excitement of skydiving come to life onboard a cruise ship and the North Star aerial observatory offering 360 degree views more than 90 meters above the sea. Furthermore the Bionic Bar where guests place an order for their favorite cocktail via a tablet, before two incredible bionic arms create the perfect mix in tune to the resident DJ, shaking and stirring great cocktails without any human assistance.
When the North Star is completely elevated in Sydney Harbour, she reaches higher than the pylons of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Ovation of the Seas also features Two70, an expansive lounge boasting 270-degree ocean views by day, and an immersive, multimedia entertainment spectacular at night, fusing technology with entertainment using robotic video-screens, dramatic digital projection and high-flying aerialists and performers. Meanwhile SeaPlex, the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea, offers bumper cars, a basketball court, roller skating, a circus school and more.
Guests on board Ovation of the Seas can also enjoy a variety of 18 restaurant concepts, as vast and varied as dining in the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. The ship spans 18 decks, encompasses 167,800 gross registered tons, carries 4,180 guests at double occupancy and features 2,090 staterooms.
